Advanced Dance Training (Ages 7+)
Technique classes and pre-professional company training for dedicated dancers ready to take their craft to the next level.
JWSD's advanced program is designed for dancers ages 7 and up who are ready for a serious commitment to dance. Our advanced track includes year-round technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop, as well as the opportunity to join Body Talk Dance Company — JWSD's pre-professional company established in 1985.
Advanced dancers train with experienced instructors focused on developing technical precision, artistry, and performance quality. Body Talk has four tech levels of increasing difficulty, and placement is determined in consultation with the teacher and company director.

Technique Classes
JWSD offers technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. These classes run year-round and are the foundation of our advanced training track.
Technique classes are primarily attended by members of Body Talk Dance Company, but non-company members are welcome to register. A dancer's admission to the class is at the discretion of the teacher and Body Talk's company director.
There are four tech levels of increasing difficulty. Placement is discussed during the enrollment process.
Body Talk Dance Company
Body Talk Dance Company, established in 1985 in Windsor Park, focuses on commitment, passion, and community — striving to shape more confident and responsible young dancers.
Our mission has been to make high-quality dance instruction accessible and affordable for all children with the desire to learn the craft.
Body Talk members take technique classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop, and participate in performances and competitions throughout the year. Registration for the 2026–27 season is open.
